Song OTD

Today's song is DIS-MOI QUELQUE CHOSE AVANT DE DORMIR (tell me something before sleeping) by Kahimi Karie! This song is soo refreshing and LIGHT it feels like a palette cleanser compared to some of the other "heavier" songs I listen to. It just feels so diaphanous, in the best way possible. Think I really needed this song. Wish it was more popular

IT'S DECEMBER! Today's song is Last Christmas by Wham! This song is so nostalgic to me, I love it. It reminds me of all the times I went ice skating with my best friends. I remember this song would play on the speakers in the fancy looking reception hall or whatever lol. Anyways, it's not Christmas/December without listening to this song! 10/10 ♪ 

Innocent (Rouge)

 Guess who's starting a new manga again ahaga! Sorry Orpheus no Mado and Veil but I'll finish you another day.. someday.... I've been wanting to read this for a little bit tho. Here's the synopsis for Innocent: Innocent's story follows the Sanson family of executioners in France before the French Revolution, and centers around siblings Charles-Henri Sanson and Marie-Joseph Sanson. 

And for the sequel, Innocent Rouge: The eve of the French Revolution, 1772— The eldest brother of the Sanson family, Charles-Henri, has grown as an executioner, while his sister, Marie-Joseph, has been living freely in Versailles. But one day, Marie-Joseph's first love, a man named Alain, is killed by aristocrats...! This history of innocents plunges into the arc of the crimson revolution, Rouge—!!

The art looks good and I'm interested to see how the story might unfold. I didn't know Innocent Rouge was the sequel until just now so oops. Guess I'll have to read Innocent first then. I wonder if this was inspired by RoV in any way?

Song OTD

 Whoops I completely forgot to post anything yesterday cuz I was so busy. Anyway here's today's song: Sukiyaki by Kyu Sakamoto.

It was actually called 上を向いて歩こう originally and was released in 1961. It was a #1 in Japan. And it spent 3(!) weeks at the top of American Billboard charts in June 1963. It's the only song made by a Japanese artist (+no English lyrics) to hit #1 in the US. I just think it's amazing how popular and significant this song was not only in Japan, but in other countries as well (like Mexio, Australia, Canada, etc.), esp when most wouldn't be able to understand anything in the song. Apparently the song was inspired by Anpo protests. Also Kyu, the artist, unfortunately died in one of the worst aircraft disasters in history at only 43 (Japan Airlines Flight 123 crash of 1985). Despite the tragedy surrounding this song I like hearing the stories of people who know and adore it for a number of different, personal reasons. It's amazing how music can transcend time, culture, language, and connect to anybody

 Started this new webtoon/manhwa yesterday and I'm obsessed omg. These two are sooo freaking cute I love them <333 Their dynamic is refreshing and funny love love love 😍 Lily is just like me fr. I'm addicted. I already have so many screenshots of this so far I'm gonna fill up my storage by the end of this 😭
